Complete your High School Equivalency/GED®!

Pamlico Community College offers FREE adult basic education classes to build skills in reading, language, and math, as well as prepare students for high school equivalency exams (examples are GED® and HiSET ).

Free classes, which are offered in the morning and the evening, are taught by professional instructors who are committed to student success! Classes are held virtually, on the Grantsboro Campus, and at the Bayboro Center.

Register for FREE Classes Now!

Free English language instruction is available for individuals who are non-native English speakers. Professional instruction in speaking, reading, and writing is provided to individuals who are seeking to learn or improve these skills to assist with employability skills, social skills, or secondary (GED®) or post-secondary studies. Map and Directions

Basic Skills Plus

The Basic Skills Plus program at Pamlico Community College combines Adult Secondary Education classes along with certificate programs that assist students in graduating with a High School Equivalency Diploma and marketable occupational skills! Career pathways include CNA I, Phlebotomy, Electrical, and Welding. Students in the Basic Skills Plus Program will work on completing the High School Equivalency Diploma and pathway career courses. In this process, students will receive academic support services and job skills training.
