Pamlico Community College (PCC) is committed to providing quality firefighter training. Registration is open for our courses which are offered independently or as part of our Fire Academy. During your training in the PCC Fire Academy program, you’ll learn about the science of firefighting and fire prevention and about the safety and hazards associated with fires. You’ll study the behavior, compartmentalization, suppression, and investigation of fire and its related emergencies, and much more.

Fire Academy courses are held on campus, at our Rufus E. Brinson, Jr. Fire Training Grounds, and offsite as appropriate. Personnel working/volunteering for a state agency may be entitled to a state tuition waiver.

ONLINE Continuing Education Guidelines:

1. All courses require separate registration forms, respective to each course.

2. Please use the COURSE TITLE and dates, as listed, for your registration form.

3. Courses will open and close on the specified dates. On the first day of class, you will receive confirmation and login information for the respective course at the email address used to register.
