PCC Cultural & Life Enrichment Program
Designed to promote personal growth and self-enrichment. This may include courses in leisure activities, non-vocational skill development, learning a new language, discovering a new talent, arts & crafts, media techniques, wellness activities, and much more, as well as musical and theatrical productions. These classes are self-supporting and use the talents and skills of some of our community’s gifted residents.

Quilting Basics
Participants will gather again to encourage one another in developing sewing skills while enjoying a shared hobby.
Previous classes enjoyed making a sewing machine “apron” designed to sit beneath the machine and provide handy pockets for sewing tools and supplies.
Projects may include a Bear Claw block, along with seasonal pumpkin or apple blocks for fall. Participants may choose to create a fabric swap project to add a variety of color hues to their designs.
Two Christmas-themed blocks will also be introduced — one inspired by Santa’s belly and another resembling a wrapped package — both ideal for table runners or as part of a larger project.
Additional projects may include star patterns, as well as techniques such as double wedding ring and paper piecing

UFO and ET 101
In an new course, Sev Tok, a UFO researcher, experiencer, and media commentator examines unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP/UFOs), extraterrestrial contact, and the historical, cultural, scientific, and philosophical questions surrounding humanity’s engagement with non-human intelligence.
Designed for students of all knowledge levels, the course explores the evolution of the UFO phenomenon through historical case studies, government investigations, military reports, scientific inquiry, and experiencer narratives.
Students will analyze significant sightings, disclosure efforts, media coverage, and contemporary research while evaluating evidence from multiple perspectives. The course encourages critical thinking while exploring how the discovery of non-human intelligence could influence humanity’s future.

Bird Watching
The first class will meet in the Delamar Building at 9 a.m. for a slide show, and discussion of birding optics and techniques with a short field trip afterward. Subsequent classes will be held in the field with early morning meeting times.
