Sustainable Agriculture

Interested in learning about the practices of sustainable agriculture in our local and global communities? Using the latest in non-traditional technologies, the course will provide instruction in animal production, crop production, pest management, and soil management. Students will be introduced to the economic, environmental, and social impacts of agriculture and learn how to implement these principles on a small or large scale.

Wake up Your Garden!

Now is the perfect time to start planning your late-winter and spring gardens, as well as managing the trees and shrubs in your yard! Join us for an interactive course that is perfect for beginners and experts alike! Curriculum will include identifying and selecting plant materials, planting materials at the appropriate places and in the correct manner, properly maintaining plant materials, designing landscape plans and features, and more.

Edible Landscaping

Beautifying your garden is just the beginning! Learn how to produce an abundance of fruits, vegetables, and herbs through natural gardening techniques. This course will teach you how to create an edible landscape design, which includes proper soil preparation, composting, and companion planting. Students will gain hands-on experience that will enable the budding gardener or experienced horticulturalist with the methods for creating everything from a kitchen garden to a high-yield food-scape!

Horticulture

Interested in plants? This course will teach you how to identify and select plant material, propagation techniques, site selection, pest management, and plant maintenance. This hands-on class is a great introduction for hobbyists and those seeking a career in the field!
