Business Administration

The Business Administration curriculum is designed to introduce students to the various aspects of the free enterprise system. Students will be provided with a fundamental knowledge of business functions, processes, and an understanding of business organizations in today’s global economy.

Course work includes business concepts such as accounting, business law, economics, management, and marketing. Skills related to the application of these concepts are developed through the study of computer applications, communication, team building, and decision making.

Employee Supervision and Management, Business Plan Preparation, Accounting Fundamentals, Income Tax Preparation, Managerial Oversight and Reporting, Marketing Techniques

What tools or equipment will I be exposed to?

Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Quickbooks, Tax Preparation Software

What job opportunities will I have?

Business Management, Entrepreneur, Financial Advisor, Advertising Executive, Human Resource Management, Sales Positions

What industries or fields can I work in upon completion of my degree?

Insurance, Banking, Finance, Healthcare, Local and Federal Government, Retail Services, Manufacturing, and Law

What is the salary range and job outlook for Business Administration graduates?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in business administration is projected to grow at a higher pace than for most other careers. In 2013, the median salary of workers in the management profession was significantly higher than the average US worker, and the degree offers students a wide variety of career paths.
